AGED MINISTER IS BEYOND VALE

REV. R.F. PATTERSON DIED AFTER LONG ILLNESS.

WAS Father of T.W. Patterson, Policeman, and Mrs. R. J. Luster, of Huntington.  

Rev. R. F. Patterson, aged 72 years, died at his home in Barboursville yesterday afternoon at 5:38 o’clock, after a long illness. For many years he was an active minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, south, in West Virginia, but in recent years he was on the retired list. He is survived by his wife; two sons, T. W. Patterson, a member of the Huntington police force, of 312 Main street, Guyandotte, and W. S. Patterson of Indianapolis, Ind.; and four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Cummons, of Wellsville, Ohio, Mrs. H. H. Wentz, of Russell, Ky., Mrs. R.  J. Luster of Seventh avenue, Huntington, and Mrs. George Burks of Barboursville. The funeral will be conducted from the Apostolic church, Barboursville, at 2 p. m. on Saturday, and interment will be made in the Barboursville cemetery.  

Rev. Patterson had been in failing health since spring, and was for awhile in the Guthrie hospital in Huntington.”
