WILLIAM JAMES FISHER, 68, of Milton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2002, at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Brother Herb Niada officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Ridge Cemetery, Milton. He was born May 22, 1934, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Stewart and Mary Fisher. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jack D. Fisher. He was a retired fitter for ACF Industries. He was pastor of UBI, Blue Sulphur. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his loving wife, Polly Black Fisher; one son, James T. Fisher and wife Billie of Milton; one daughter, Judith Faye Fisher Reynolds and husband Larry of Celina, Tenn.; one brother, Stewart Lee Fisher of Milton; four granddaughters; three grandsons; four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; and a host of friends and neighbors.
