Obituary

EDITH EDMUNDS PERRY, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 26, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at Bias Chapel Church with Pastor Forrest Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Bias Chapel Cemetery. Edith was born November 8, 1916, in Milton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mark Anthony and Mary Isabell Stowasser Edmunds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and special aunt. She was the last of her family's generation and will be missed! She was a 54-year member of Bias Chapel Church where she attended all her life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 149 Milton, W.Va. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years and 11 months, Gearld Perry; her infant son, Don Perry; an infant granddaughter, Nanette Sherlene Perry; four brothers, Frank, Chappy, Garland "Shorty" and Kelson "Pete" Edmunds; three sisters, Elenora Ashworth King, Rosemonda Smith and Gladys Lillian Conrad Godby, who was not only her sister, but her best friend. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger Gearld and Sherlene Brooke Mitchell Perry of Milton; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy Edith and John Henry Bias of Culloden; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Tony Roger and Jean Ann Williams Perry and John Aaron and Rosemary Ferguson Bias; one granddaughter, Annette Sherlene Perry, all of Milton; one grandson, 2nd Lt. Joseph Alan Bias of Culloden; two great-granddaughters, Tabitha Erin Bias and Courtney Michelle Perry of Milton and a multitude of special nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
