Obituary

MICHAEL WINSTON COOPER, 51, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2002. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Milton. He was born on September 15, 1950, in Cabell County, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Erva Winston Cooper and Thelma Naomi Cooper. His grandparents were the late Floyd Cooper and Ora Bell Cooper. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Bell Cooper and her mother, Katrina S. Cooper. Special friends include Yancey Burns, Timmy Townsend, the late Jim Reece, Bryant and Norma Cole, Debbie Estes Strain and Greg Sovine. Also, he had a special living angel who took care of him on his last days here on earth, named Annie Hendrick. Michael was a singer, songwriter, gunsmith and farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was last employed by the State Road Department. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
