O. MAXINE BURDEN, 81, of Milton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Milton Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Burnsworth officiating. She was born April 25, 1924, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry Franklin and Cuma Ann Smith Harshbarger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester B. Burden and ten sisters. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn and Frankie McCallister of Hurricane, Charolett Estes of Lenoir, N.C. and Deborah and Michael Ginn of Hurricane; five sons and three daughters-in-law, William and Jean Burden of Hurricane, Howard Burden of Orlando, Fla., David and Kathy Burden of Milton, Timothy Burden of Milton and Mark and Brenda Burden of Apple Grove, W.Va.; two sisters, Irene Legg of Akron, Ohio, and Emmaline Webster of Tampa, Fla.; one special nephew, Gary Harshbarger of Milton; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be private. Heck Funeral Home, Milton, is in charge of arrangements.
