PANSY LOUISE KIRBY CARTMILL

PANSY LOUISE KIRBY CARTMILL died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Roseville, Mich. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, W.Va., with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery. A native of West Virginia and widow of the late William "Abe" Cartmill, she was born May 2, 1921, to the late Lonnie and Nell Clark Kirby in Milton, W.Va. She always called West Virginia "home". In West Virginia, she was a member of Walnut Hills Church of the Nazarene, Huntington and in Michigan, the Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene in Warren, Mich. In addition to her parents and husband of nearly 50 years, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon in 1945 and Brenda in 2002; two granddaughters; two sisters, Aileen Wilkinson and Patricia Engemann; two brothers, Lonnie L. Kirby and Roger A. Kirby; and a very dear aunt, Faye Clark. She is survived by one son, David K. Cartmill of Macomb, Mich.; one daughter, Pamela Beckett of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; one sister, Roberta Chapman of Barboursville, W.Va.; one brother, Luther E. Kirby of Huntington, W.Va.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Heck Funeral Home.
