The REV. WOODROW "WOODY" WILSON CHAPMAN

The REV. WOODROW "WOODY" WILSON CHAPMAN, 84, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at St. Mary?s Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2002, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by the Rev. Clifford Wilcoxen and the Rev. Tracy Mills. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. He was born October 8, 1917, in Hurricane, W.Va., a son of the late Edgar and Lula Turner Chapman. He was retired from Union Carbide after 28 years of service and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Chapman; four sisters, Leota Neumeyer, Arizona Leadmon, Zelpha Crouch and Marina Runyon; and three brothers, John, Clinton and Joe Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Maxine McComas Chapman; a grandson, Ted Scott Chapman of Jacksonville, Florida; and two sisters, Reba Forth of Milton and Freda Gibson of Hurricane. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
