ALICE GOVIER LENHART

ALICE GOVIER LENHART, 102, of Huntington died Saturday, November 30, 2002, at her residence. She was born August 22, 1900, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry W. and Rachel Davis Govier. She graduated from Donora High School, Donora, Pa., and attended Goucher College, Baltimore, Md. She was the oldest living member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Presbyterian Women, a Golden Life member of The Woman's Club of Huntington, member of the Huntington Garden Club, and was active in the PTA as Vice President of the City Council and founder of Emmons PTA. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Coulter Lenhart. She is survived by two daughters, Rachel L. Conrad of Milwaukee, Wis., and Patricia Ann Scheifly of Whittier, Calif.; three grandchildren, John E. Scheifly Jr., Jan E. Scheifly Sprague and Joan Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Joslyn Johnson, Kyle and Kevin Sprague and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at the Milton Cemetery by Dr. Roger Rabey. Interment will follow.
