NAAMAN STONE WHITE

NAAMAN STONE WHITE, 75, of Milton passed away at 9:10 p.m. June 5, 2003, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, W.Va. He was born Aug. 31, 1927, to the late Ballard and Hettie Stone White. He was a 1945 graduate of Milton High School. He attended Marshall College. He was a radio operator in the United States Air Force, on Flying Status for four years and flew in the Berlin Air Lift. He was a telegrapher for the railroad and also worked for Greyhound Bus Line in Marietta, Ohio in the early 1950s. He also owned White's Restaurant in Marietta. His later years were spent at his home place in Milton. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother and sister; a sister, Mildred Ellen White; and three brothers, Opie White, Clinton P. White and Blackburn White. He is survived by two brothers, Moss White of Athens, Ohio and James E. White of Marietta; three nephews; and three nieces. Memorial services will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is in charge of arrangements.
