OLLICE MARIE CLARK MILLER, 97, of Milton, departed this life on Wednesday, March 19 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born February 11, 1906, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late M.A. and Georgia Cowen Clark. She reared her family on Union Ridge with her husband, Clyde Miller, who preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by one sister, Madeline Lapool; daughters, Betty (and Jack) Pancake, Glenna Jean Powell, and Winalee (and David) Blackwood; nine grandchildren, Michael (and Marianne) Sunderland, Charlotte (and Jeff) Vossler, Charlene Powell, Mary (and Steve) Frush, Andy Blackwood, Jim (and Edith) Blackwood, Dan (and Pam) Blackwood, Martha (and Luis) DeLaRosa, and Meredith (and Brent) Sturm, 14 great-grandchildren, Jesse Zeligson, Kim Sovine, Jamie Warner, Matt Warner, David U. Blackwood, Matthew Blackwood, Sarah Blackwood, Maggie Blackwood, Claire Blackwood, Carmen DeLaRosa, Luann DeLaRosa, Stephen Sturm, Eric Sturm, and Daniel Sturm; one great-great-granddaughter, Alyssa Fazio. She was a member of Union Chapel Church since 1925, and was active in the Ladies' Aid Society there. She was a long time member of the Milton Garden Club and WVU Extension Clubs, enjoyed attending Milton Senior Citizens' and was a talented crafter. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Rev. Keith Leap, Rev. Ed Hood, and Rev. W. Brent Sturm officiating. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing the Ollice Miller Fund at Milton United Methodist Church for memorial gifts.
