Charles Ray "Bo" Hughes, 80, of Huntington, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Chapman's Mortuary with Chaplin Bobby Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Balls Chapel Cemetery, Ashton, WV. He was born January 24, 1939 in Huntington a son of the late George Casby and Irene May Wray Hughes. His sister, Sylvia Thomas and a nephew, Ronnie Chapman, also preceded him in death. He worked formerly at Lester Industries in Cleveland, OH, and was a member of the Army National Guard. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Joshua Smith of Huntington; two sons, Christopher Hughes of Fort Lauderdale, FL., and Charles Ray Hughes, Jr., and his wife, Amanda Hughes of Charleston, WV; six grandchildren, Adrienne Hughes, Camryn Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Caleb Smith, Carter Smith, and Greenlee Smith; a sister, Hazel Chapman; nephew, Roger Chapman; great nephews and great nieces, Justin Chapman, Kristi Davis, Rhonda Chapman, Ronnie Chapman, Jr., and Carla Chapman; and several great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may call 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary.
