Andrew Lewis in Virginia

Lewis was a giant of a man for his time. He stood
 6 ft 4 inches tall and weighed 215 pounds.

He was born 1720 in Ireland and his family moved to Virginia
in 1732. He gained prominence  during Dunmore's War
when on October 10, 1774 his troops defeated Indians
led by Chief Cornstalk at Point Pleasant.

Congress declared this battle the real start
 of the American Revolutionary War.
