His
was a sad story, (Oliver N) and his brother (Thomas Scott) fought for the
Confederacy while his other two brothers ( James T and Guy) were fighting
for the Union, Oliver joined the Confederacy as a Private cavalryman, and
was captured near his home, marched off to a New Jersey POW camp where he
died.
