Other Possible Burials: (Cabell County Cemeteries
Books by Carrie Eldridge)
1. Boothe, Clara
2. Cremeans, Jessa
3. Miller, Joisey -- (Sep. 1881 --
12-30-1896)
4. Vanatter, Elizabeth -- 1830 -- 02-01-1898)
Note: There were several footstones found in the
cemetery that did not have a Head Stone with them. ( A.C -- B.E -- E.E --H.E.-- JB)
Note: This is a very old cemetery that has
not been maintain over the years. It is in bad shape at the time it was
read.
The biggest part of the markers are Sandstones with scratched inscriptions on
them and over the years have
weather off. There are several stones that can not be read because
of time and weather. There are several
graves marked with field stones and several unmarked graves in this cemetery.
In Carrie Eldridge book for Cabell County Cemeteries she states that there are
103 graves marked with field
stones only. She also states that there are 29 graves that are
unmarked. She also has these footstones for the
cemetery that do not have a head stone -- (H.E. -- B.E. -- A.E. -- E.E. -- A.T.
-- O.H.H. -- E.B. -- J.H. -- M. -- R.)
