Blankenship, Mary Dillon - Date of Death: Sunday, 8/17/1941
Mrs. Mary Dillon Blankenship - Eighty-four years old,
died yesterday at 11:05 A.M. at the home of her son, Cline Blankenship of
Huntington Route 1.
Mrs. Blankenship had been ill for more than a year. She was the widow of Reese
Blankenship, Cabell County farmer, who died five months ago.
They had been married 63 years. Mrs. Blankenship was the daughter of the late
Mr. And Mrs. John Dillon, also of Route 1.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 P.M. at the Crook Chapel
Church. The Rev. J. N. Herald of Barboursville will officiate.
Burial will be in the Crook Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Blankenship's grandsons will
be pallbearers.
The body was taken to the home of the son yesterday from the Cavendish
Funeral Home.
In addition to the son, Mrs. Blankenship is also survived by three other
children, Carl, C. G. and Audley Blankenship,
all of Huntington; a daughter, Mrs. Maude Sullivan of Huntington; a brother,
Julius Dillon of Richwood, W. Va.; and three sisters,
Mrs. Ruth Floyd and Miss Letha Dillon, both of Huntington and Mrs. Sallie
Wiseman of Washington.
