Located in the East End of Huntington, WV. in the Guyandotte Section.
Take Route US 60 into Huntington. Turn Right onto Bridge Street (Rt.
2) and go to the first Red Light. Turn Right onto Main St. and go to
5th Ave. Turn Right and the cemetery will be on your Right. The
cemetery will be across from the Guyandotte United Methodist Church.
The cemetery is fenced and is keep up by the Park Board of Huntington.
There is considerable empty space which may have contained markers at one
time. There are some markers in this cemetery that can't be read.

Morris Fought With
George Roger Clark
John Morris came from
Kanawha near the
mouth of Campbell's Creek aand served in
George Rogers Clark's Illinois Expedition.
He was Captain of Kanawha
Militia and
served with Virginia Troops in the Whiskey
Rebelllion in Pennsylvania. Morris died
in 1818 and is buried in the Guyandotte
Cemetery Revolutionary War Service
Plot. He was the father of Bishop
Thomas A. Morris and of Edmund
Morris, first clerk of Cabell County.
