“LEO HENDRICK – 70, of 6214 Little Seven Mile Road, who died Thursday in a Huntington hospital, will be buried in the Herrenkohl Cemetery on Little Seven Mile after funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cox Landing United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Max Spurlock and the Rev. Russell Clark will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Born Feb. 14, 1900, at Lesage, he was a son of the late Sylvester and Allie Cowan Hendrick. He was a retired salesman for the former Carney Candy Co. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Georgia Cox Hendrick; four daughters, Mrs. Opal Connelly of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Aileen Bell of Huntington, Mrs. Margaret Shuff of Lesage and Mrs. Ruth Sprigg of Shinnston, W.Va,; two sons, Jay Hendrick of Lesage and Jack Hendrick of Point Pleasant; five sisters, Mrs. Opal Herrenkohl and Mrs. Clarice Barlow of Lesage, Mrs. Jessie Stewart and Mrs. Bessie Carney of Huntington and Mrs. Evelyn Aisenberry of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother Forrest C. Hendrick of Hurricane and 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call Chapman’s Mortuary after 4 p. m. today. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the services.”
