From US 60 in Barboursville take Main Street to Martha Rd. Turn on this road and go to the Senior Center (on left side of road)  Take the driveway beside the Senior Center and go to the Little League ball field.  The cemetery is on the bank behind 3rd. base.  It is grown up and in bad need of care.

Note: This is the only stone remaining. At one time, there was an older stone for Frances. (see below)

Note: There were two tombstone inscriptions recorded in 1948 for John Merritt Family Cemetery. One, which was described
as a large new stone, is the same tombstone shown above. The other stone was recorded as follows on the next 3 lines:
Merritt, Frances Wife of John Merritt Born
Feb. 20, 1836 Died Oct. 21, 1873
(this is the only old stone remaining)
