She was retired from Sears Roebuck and Co., where she worked many years at 29th Street, Huntington, and the mall stores in marketing and receiving. She was a longtime member of the Milton Senior Citizens and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Milton, Chapter 149. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn K. Myrtle had a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. She loved all her family, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and especially her grandchildren. She was so proud of everything they did. She spent many happy days in the mountains with Harold and his family, and was always ready to go again at a moment's notice. We want to thank all of the staff of Putnam Care and Rehab for taking such good care of her. Christy Young went above and beyond caring, for she saw to her every need. She could get a response from her when no one else could, and we thank her for it. We want to give a special thanks to Gloria Wyant for being there when she died and comforting her at the end. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Order of the Eastern Star, Milton, Chapter 149, conducting services at 7:30 p.m.
