WALTER "OKEY" HYSELL, 69, of Milton died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in the Milton Cemetery by the Rev. Cleo Egnor. He was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Milton, a son of the late Buster and Ella Harshbarger Hysell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Chapman Hysell and his son, Walter Hysell Jr. He was a gravedigger for many years, taking care of the local funeral homes in the surrounding area. He is survived by one grandson, Kreggory Hysell and one granddaughter, Constance Hysell, both of Spotsylvania, Va.; one sister, Joyce Hayes of Ona, W.Va.; five brothers, Junior Odell Hysell of Cleveland, Mike Hysell of Culloden, W.Va., Richard Hysell, Andy Hysell and Darrell Hysell, all of Milton; five half-sisters, Dreama Tackitt and Karen Hicks, both of Huntington, Kay Hysell and Deven Clark, both of Ona, and Ann Hand of South Carolina; and two half-brothers, Buster Owen Hysell and James Hysell, both of Milton. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
