MARY E. PEYTON, 84, of Milton, W.Va., passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Paul Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery. She was born March 11, 1924, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert Oscar and Lenora Lee Howell Davis. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Stanley Reed Peyton; three brothers, Melivn, Bobby and Shelby Davis; two sisters, Juanita Riffle and Flora Evelyn Beaver. She was a former cook for the Colonel's Inn Restaurant. She was a loving mother and a wonderful cook. She will be missed by her children, Verlin Michael Peyton of Milton, Carolyn Sue and James F. Earl of Kenova, W.Va., and Geseil Penny and Robert Klinestiver of Milton; six grandchildren, Misty Dawn Meade, Glen Isom Romans Jr., Lisa Michelle Romans, Michael Allen Peyton, Ruth Helen Mathes and Robert Lorraine Klinestiver Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Heck Funeral Home.
