GERTRUDE J. RAMSEY, 90, of Milton, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Rev. Mark Hesson officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery. She was born July 5, 1920, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wesley Porter and Goldie May Johnson Ramsey. She was also preceded in her death by three sisters, Loretta Ramsey, Georgia VanGorden and Virginia Morrison; one brother, William "Bill" Ramsey. She was a retired nurses aide from Morris Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Milton Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo (Don) Price of Toledo, Ohio and Connie Chambers of Milton; three sisters, Mary Ramsey and Sarah Ramsey, both of Milton and Betty Meadows of Cleveland, Ohio; special granddaughter Brittany Chambers; special grandson Brad Rowe; special friend Mike Cook. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for everything they have done. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
