DONALD REED MORRISON
DONALD REED MORRISON, 74 of Glenwood, W.Va., husband of Eva Holley Morrison, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at his residence with many family members and loved ones by his side. Donald was born in Cabell County, West Virginia, on November 18, 1930, a son of the late Hallie and Havana Chapman Morrison. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2005, at noon at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, W.Va., with Pastor Scott Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrison Family Cemetery located on Don's beloved farm. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Swann and a grandson, Jason Wilson. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Morrison of Glenwood and Wesley and Doris Morrison of Lesage, W.Va.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Reba Swann of Barboursville, W.Va., Roberta and Jack Black of Salt Rock, W.Va., Debbie and Tom Wilson of Huntington and Alma and Richard Chapman of Milton. He has 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Glenn Morrison of Hamlin, W.Va., Bobby Joe Morrison of Milton and Jerry Morrison of Salt Rock; three sisters, Oneita Toler, Faye Chapman and Betty Monday, all of Milton. He had two very special friends, Earl and Gloria McGue of Hurricane, W.Va. Don was retired from INCO. For the past 33 years, Donald and his family hosted the annual Morrison's Ox Roast for thousands at the family's farm on Union Ridge. He was also a founding member of Mountaineer Sportsman Gun Club. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
