Blankenship, Marlin N. - Date of Death: Tuesday, 10/27/1981
Marlin N. "Slim" Blankenship, 78, of 4425 16th St. Road, Huntington,
husband of Kathleen Dillon Blankenship, died yesterday in Veterans
Administration Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Chemetron Corp. Also surviving are one
stepdaughter, Mrs. Billie Jo McComas of Barboursville Route 2.
Funeral 2 p.m. tomorrow at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville; burial in
Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Marlin N. "Slim" Blankenship, 78, of 4425 16th St.
Road, Huntington, W. Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1981, in Veterans
Administration Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral
Home, Barboursville, by the Rev. Tony Vance and the Rev. Wendell Shull. Burial
will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 3, 1903, in Cabell County, a son of the late Albert and
Maggie Mae Dillon Blankenship. He was a retired employee of Chemetron Corp. in
Huntington, and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Dillon Blankenship.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mrs. Billie Jo McComas of Barboursville
Route 2;
two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Smith and Miss Becky Blankenship, both of
Huntington Route 1; three brothers, Albert S. "Dock" Blankenship and Ernest L.
"Chick" Blankenship, both of Huntington Route 1
, and Reece L. "Bud" Blankenship of Barboursville Route 2; five grandchildren;
and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home.
