William Robert "Bill" Knight, Jr. , 82 of Barboursville, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. He was born March 3, 1941 in Huntington, WV; son of the late William Robert Knight, Sr. and Lessie (Robinson) Knight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Louise Knight; one brother, Jim Knight; and one sister, Helen Hutchinson. Bill served in the United States Air Force. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed serving in different capacities in the church; whether it be by pastoring, playing hymns on his harmonica, or visiting with those that were in the hospital or homebound. Professionally, his passion for serving others led him to working in funeral service both in Florida and most recently at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, in Huntington, WV. He is survived by his three children, Randy Knight of Vero Beach, FL, Bruce Knight of Vero Beach, FL, and Sheri Knight of Huntington, WV; two grandchildren, Patrick Knight and Kayla Abu-Hadid; one sister, Phyllis Fargo; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be private for the family. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary & Cremation Services, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 is caring for the family.
