From US 60 in Cabell County at Ona, WV take Fudge Creek Rd. for about 1
mile or till you come to Little Fudge Creek Rd. Turn onto this road
and go about 1.4 miles. Make no turns onto any other road that you
come to. After about 1.4 miles there will be a gas line that goes
across the road, after this there will a field on your Right.
Turn into this field and park. Now walk to the lower end of the field
and go to where the gas line goes up the hill on your Left. There is a
old haul road beside the gas line. Take this road up the hill and it
will come out on the gas line just above the cemetery. Walk down the
gas line for about 50yd. and the cemetery will be on your Right. If
you don't want to take the old haul road then go straight up the gas line.
There is a big Cedar tree in one corner of the cemetery so if you walk up
the gas line you would be able to find the cemetery.
The cemetery is fenced but has been abandon and is very over
overgrown with weeds and brush. The cemetery is on the hill
behind where the old Tassen Elementary School was located (see picture in
school section). The property is owned by Bernard Tassen who lives
in the next house above the gas line (on the right). You need to check
with the Tassen family before going up to the cemetery.
