U.S. Veteran Denzil Ray Berry “School-Teacher”, 78 of LeSage, WV passed away Monday February 27th 2006 in the Vineyards of St. Albans. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday at the Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Clark officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Denzil was born June 13th 1927 in LeSage, WV a son of the late Carl and Bertha Bailey Berry. He was a member of the American Legion post 177 and the VFW post 9738. Denzil was also a member of the Museum of Radio and Technology Club and The WV Steam & Gas Engine Association. He worked as a truck driver for many years, employed by the Linde division of Carbide. Denzil also served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Berry. He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Berry of LeSage, WV; one daughter Lynette Powell and her husband Butch of Kenova, WV; three sons, Larry Berry and his wife Virginia of LeSage, WV., Ron Berry and his wife Lois of Huntington, WV., and Dr. Duane Berry and his wife Christy of St. Albans, WV., one sister, Maxine Meadows of LeSage, WV; 8 grandchildren, Terry Berry (Susan) and Tabitha Snyder (J.J.) all of LeSage, WV., Sonya Neale of Barboursville, WV., Christine Smith (Joe) of FL., Jason Bays of Culloden, WV., Emily Bays of Kenova, WV., Dana and Cassie Berry both of St. Albans, WV and 5 great-grandchildren.
