Ruby Elva
Coulter
(February 17, 1913 - August 30, 2009)
Ruby Elva Coulter, 96, of Huntington, WV, formerly
of West Logan, WV, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009, at her daughter's
home. She was born February 17, 1913 in Barboursville, WV a daughter of the
late Noah Benjamin and Ella Maude Godby Haner. She was also preceded in
death by her husband, Carl Amos Coulter; a son, John Edward Coulter; three
sisters; and three brothers. She was a 1931 graduate of Huntington High
School and was a member of Peach Creek United Methodist Church in Peach
Creek, WV. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and John R.
Traxler of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Janet S. Coulter of Lynchburg, VA;
four grandchildren, Tracey Berry and her husband, Donald Brett Berry, of
Louisville, KY, Lora B. Lebo and her husband, Martin E. Lebo, of New Bern,
NC, Lezlee A. Coulter of Annapolis, MD, and Jake T. Coulter of Lynchburg,
VA; six great grandchildren, Lauren N. Berry, Catherine E. Berry, D.J.
Berry, Jared M. Lebo, Patrick D. Lebo, and Nathaniel J. Lebo; a special
friend and caregiver, Becky Dingess; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Peach
Creek United Methodist Church, Peach Creek, WV, with Pastor Roy McVey
officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, with a
graveside service at 3:00 PM Tuesday. Friends may call from 5:30 PM to 7:30
PM Monday, August 31, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, and after
10:00 AM Tuesday at the Peach Creek United Methodist Church. Flowers are
