Ellen Louise Daniel
(April 4, 1920 - August 6, 2009)


Ellen Louise Anderson, 89, of Richmond, VA, passed away on Thursday August 6, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, WV at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 13, 2009, with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Entombment will follow at Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion, Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born April 4, 1920, a daughter of the late West and Gracie Poston Farley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph William Anderson, her second husband, Virgil Daniel, her son, James M. Winters, two sisters and three brothers. She was along time resident of Huntington and lived there for 86 years. She moved to Imperial Plaza, a retirement community in Richmond, VA, to be closer to her family in 2006 She was a retired employee of Pennyfare Grocery ns K-Mart and always enjoyed working with people. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Jody and David Giblin, of Vienna, VA, Linda and Paul York of Beloit, Wisconsin; five granddaughters, Samantha (Brian) McCree of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Rachel (Dan) Sanders of West Point, Virginia, Sarah (Matt) Conrad of Glen Allen, Virginia, Michelle (Court) Bishop of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Brianna (Anthony) Lardie of Havelock, North Carolina; two grandsons, James Jason Winters of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Brandon Winters, of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Gene Farley of Ashland, Kentucky; and eleven great grandchildren, Julie, Jocelyn and Matthew McCree, Clayton and Lena Sanders, Chase and Charlotte Conrad, James Slade and Beth Winters, Aubrie Lardie and Haley Bishop.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
