Victor Lee Wheeler
(August 13, 1946 - August 17, 2009)

Victor Lee Wheeler, 63, of Huntington, WV went home to be with his Lord, Monday August 17, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center after a period of declining health. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday August 21, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Rick Black officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Victor was born August 13, 1946 in Cabell County, WV the son of the late Denver and Mildred Slone Wheeler. He was a retired Rite Aid truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post 1064 whose members will conduct military graveside rite and attended Trinity Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Jo Anderson. He leaves behind his loving wife, Claudia Howell Wheeler, daughter and son-in-law, Desire`e & George McDaniels, cherished granddaughter, Brylee Athena and son Victor Lee II. Also surviving are his sister & brother-in-law, Carolyn Sue & Curtis Puckett, brother & sister-in-law Mike & Violet Wheeler, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Mitchell & Alice Skidmore, many loved nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. Victor was a much loved, devoted husband, father and grandfather and also a man who loved his friends. Victor was a proud USMC Sergeant having served in Viet Nam.
