WARDS
There are five wards at the Morris Memorial Hospital with a
total capacity
of 125 patients. Wards and all rooms for patients are situated on the
ground
or main floor with double doors opening out on wide paved walkways
extending around the building. These walkways surround the entire hospital
building. All wards have outside exposure. Two of the five wards are
for
female patients and two for males. The fifth ward is for isolation cases
of
communicable diseases. Furniture in all wards is mobile so that space can
be cleared for games and gatherings. Patients in the same age group
occupy adjoining beds.

In a gaily decorated girls ward two small groups gather
for discussions of interest to feminine hearts.

The rest hour is just as important to patients as
play and recreation.

Boys interrupt an important conference to pose
for the hospital cameraman.
