Obituary

Donald Franklin Nosset, Jr., 84, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Don Walker officiating.  He was born June 16, 1924 in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Donald F. and Pearl Adkins Nosset.  He was raised by the late T.J. and Etta Adkins.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Ann Jones.  Donald was an active member of the Beverly Hills United Methodist Church for many years.  He was also a veteran of the US Navy, having served in World War II and an active reservist for 23 years before he retired as CPO.  He was also retired from the Corps of Engineers after 31 years of service.  He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Nosset; one son, Donald F. Nosset, III and his significant other, Nancy K. Stump of Huntington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lynn and Stephen Mills of Sierra Vista, AZ and Pamela Gail and Scott L. Fulton of Huntington; four grandchildren, Michael Mills (Jennifer) of Baltimore, MD, Brian Mills of Phoenix, AZ, Scott L. Fulton II of Huntington and Rebecca L. Cremeans (Adam) of Barboursvlle, WV; five great grandchildren and brother-in-law, William E. Jones of Beaverton, OR.  The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for making a very difficult time more bearable.  Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
