JOHN DAVID WEILER, 68, of Huntington, passed December 22, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin- Jones Hospice House. John was born on March 8th, 1947 to the late Frank X. and Kathryn K. Weiler. His sister Catherine K. Weiler and brother Frank X. Weiler, Jr. also proceeded him. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School and Marshall University, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He also served in the WV National Guard. He retired as Treasurer of Weiler Steel and was the President of Weiler & Associates, Inc. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rotary Club, served on the Boards of Pediatrics Inc, and Hanson’s Landing Homeowners Association, Stuart, FL and Guyan Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed his winters in Stuart, FL where he loved to fish and play golf. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth (Betsy) and son Dr. Eric A. Weiler and fiancee Deana of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters James J. Weiler II (Betty), of Huntington; Mary Jane Rose of The Villages, FL; Frances T. Johnson of Logan, WV; Claire Marie Earl, Charles A. Weiler, Ruth E. Dascoli, and Carole A. Dawson, all of Huntington; and sister-in-law Irmgard Booth, Lewisburg, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and specials friends and associates whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the mass at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Joan C. Edwards Cancer Center, Carell-Huntington Hospital. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
