Obituary

Frank Morris Cooper
(November 17, 1926 - December 6, 2013)

Frank Morrison Cooper, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2013. Frank was born in Catlettsburg, Kentucky on November 17, 1926. He is survived by his wife - Lelia Cooper, sister – Edyth Parrish, children – Richard Wright, Gregory Cooper, William Cooper, Sharon Duval and Carolyn Foster and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sisters Christine Kinney, Josephine Foley and son – Leander Wright. Frank was a World War II veteran and retired from AK Steel in January 1989. The past 3 years of his life, he resided at the River's Bend Health Care, South Point, OH where he served as an advocate for the residents by attending meetings with administrators to share the resident’s needs and concerns. This renewed sense of purpose motivated him to persevere through many physical and health challenges. On April 27, 2013, at age 86, he proclaimed his faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ through baptism at Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church. Frank secured his future and now lives in Heaven. A memorial service will be held at Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
