Lamont L. Miller
(November 6, 1945 - October 27, 2013)

Lamont L. Miller Sr., 67 of Huntington, WV loving husband of Loraine Miller, passed away Sunday, October 27th in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Lamont was born November 6, 1945 a son of the late Charles F. Miller and Rosalyn Smith who resides in Dayton, Ohio. He was raised and nurtured by his late paternal grandmother Bertha B. France. Lamont retired from the City of Huntington as a foreman not only was he a foreman but he was a working foreman who dedicated 40 years of service. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons Lamont L. Miller, JR of Glenville, WV, William Antoine Page (Leighann) of Louisville, KY, and Charles Lamont Miller, two sisters and two brothers, seven grandchildren Lamonte Miller, Amanda Dyer, Antwan Johnson, Brenda Grantt, Amber Grantt, Sahara Page, and Danae Rogers. He is also survived by two “special” brothers Lorenzo Powell and Gary Garrett who faithfully stuck by him through thick and thin and closer than any brother, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Hill officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
