Rufus Garrett, Jr.
(March 22, 1963 - June 22, 2016)

Rufus Garrett, Jr., 53, of Huntington, WV passed away on June 22, 2016. He was born on March 22, 1963 in Huntington, WV; a son of Rufus Garrett, Sr. and Sarah Ann Mabry. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Rufus Cortez Garrett and his brother, James Curtis Garrett. Rufus leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife, Hope Leeann Garrett; his children: Rufus Smith, Shequita Smith, Lavar Garrett, Crystal Bradford, Kyara Garrett, Jordan Simmons, China Markham, Marques “Bubba” Markham, Jahvion Garrett, Asia Markham, Kinzee Garrett and Penny Markham; his siblings: Michael Daniel Garrett, Annette Karen Mabry, Todd Mabry, Shawn Vernard Garrett and Jacqueline Denise Goehagen. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives including his special aunt, LouAlice Garrett. Funeral services will be conducted on 2:00P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Roy E. Terry officiating with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV.
