Joyce Wells
(July 31, 1933 - October 30, 2016)

Joyce Wells, 83, of Huntington, WV passed away October 30, 2016. She was born July 31, 1933 in Norfolk, VA to the late Johnny Roosevelt and Elsie Washington Roosevelt. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Wells; grandchildren, Angela Wyatt and Dahniesha Wells; and brother, Henry Roosevelt. Joyce was a supervisor for the City of New York for many years. She leaves behind to mourn her loss; her loving partner of 10 years, Rochelle Taylor; children, Joyce “Marie” Wells of Huntington, Regina Dodson (Clifton) of Jacksonville, FL and Ricky Wells of New York City; brother, Richard Harton of New Jersey; grandchildren, Tracey Wyatt, Dahnique Wells, Cawanna Wells, Katesha Wells, Elah Wells, Kawan Wells, Rayshawn Wells, Charles Leo Riggins III, Antwon Dodson, Katrina Dodson, Eddie Dodson, Terrance Wells, Kenwetta Wells, Sharice Wells, Kassandra Wells and Kimberly Taylor. Also surviving is two cousins, Teressa Macray and Carol Lee Washington; great-grandchildren Danielle Wyatt, Derrick Harrison and Douglas Wyatt and also a host of other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2016 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Dixon officiating. Visitation will be one-hour prior to services. Tri-State Cremation Society is assisting with arrangements.
