Kathy Lou Schmidt
(November 2, 1959 - July 6, 2018)

Kathy Lou Schmidt, 58 of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was born on November 2, 1959 in Huntington to the late Leonard and Gladys Mae Chapman.  She is preceded in death along with her parents, her life-long partner, William Bolen, Jr.; son, Joseph W. Schmidt; and brothers, Larry Chapman and Darren Clagg (Donna). She leaves behind to cherish her memories; children, Gary M. Schmidt, Michael P. Schmidt, Natasta N. Vance (David) and Samantha J. Schmidt (Timothy) and her daughter-in-law, Kayla Schmidt.  Also, surviving are her siblings; Jerri Clark (Darrell) of Kenova, WV, Johnny Chapman (Patty) of Huntington, Jackie Chapman (Rosemary) of Culloden, WV, Bobby Chapman (Christy) of Huntington, Brenda Kanniard (Raymond) of Culloden, WV, David Chapman (Teresa Cremeans), James Chapman (Susan Farnsworth) and Dewayne McCallister (LuEtta) all of Huntington; and her sister-in-law, Rita Chapman; 8 grandchildren: Brycen Turner, Elizabeth Hill, Caleb & Caitlin Schmidt, Gwyn Dunfee, Draven Short, Cassie Vance and Ella Schmidt.  At this time, arrangements are pending.
