Obituary

James T. Scarberry, 69, of Ona, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 5, 2007 in Hospice House of Huntington after a long illness.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Max Spurlock officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Milton.  He was born March 24, 1938 in Cabell Co., WV a son of the late Thomas and Eva Henry Scarberry.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice L. Scarberry; sister, Ella Scarberry; brothers, Rex and Richard Scarberry; and stepson, Dale Noel.  James was a retired truck driver from the Department of Highways.  He enjoyed raising his animals and going with Ruth to singing conventions.  He is survived by his loving companion of  25 years, Ruth Childers Scarberry; his son, Mark K. and Linda Fosco Scarberry of Sissonville and her children, Jami Swift, Jonathan Stowers, and Jarrod Stowers; step son, Kelly and Terry Noel of Barboursville, two step daughters, Donna and Jerry Adkins of Chicago, Illinois and Paula K. Wright of Oklahoma City, OK; five sisters, Patricia and Freddie Scarberry, Eloise Scarberry, Rosie Scarberry, and Ruby Hanna all of Lesage, and Jean and Junior Wroten of Huntington.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM, Friday, April 6, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
