Obituary

Albert “Uncle June” Wellman, 79, of Culloden went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 9, 2007 with his loving family by his side.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Dr. Stan Maynard officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  He was born February 6, 1928 in Cabell County, a son of the late Albert Sr. and Leslie Collins Wellman.  He is also preceded in death by one brother, James B. Wellman.  “Uncle June” as he was known to his nieces and nephews and many friends was a member of Church in the Valley.  He served his country in the United States Army and worked for Union Carbide as an Insulator.  He is survived by his sister, Janet Wellman Wallace; nephews, Jerry Wallace (Sherri), Greg Wallace (Dreama), Mark Wallace and Brent Wallace (Michelle); niece, Joni Wallace McComas; great nieces, Kristi Dunlap, Brandi Wallace, Jessie Hunter Wallace, Lindsey Wallace Reed, Nicole Wallace Hatfield, Kristin Wallace, Hannah Wallace, Rylee Wallace and Alexa Dunlap; great nephews, Robie Dunlap, Josh Hatfield, Travis Reed, Brad Wallace, Scott McComas, Michael Wallace, Luke Wallace, Nate Dunlap, Carter Dunlap and Bowen Wallace.  Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
