Jun 2, 1944 - Sep 26, 2009

Georgie Forth, 65, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was the daughter of the late George R. Meadows and Opal Marie Staton Meadows.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Johnson Forth; grandfathers, Hi Staton and Greenway Meadows; grandmothers, Reese Staton and Exer Meadows.  She is survived by three daughters and three wonderful step-children, Margaret Marie Forth and Billey Jean Forth at home, Ronita and Bobby Baird of Apple Grove; Eugene and Jane Forth of Coal Grove, OH, Nellie and Ray Preston of Milton, Charles and Phyllis Forth of Barboursville; brother, George A. Meadows, whom she cared for at home; sister, Ethel May Davis of Apple Grove.  She is also survived by a host of wonderful and beautiful step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cousins, one whom she grew up with and was her best friend, Jake Estep of Columbus, OH and his wife, Betty Estep.  She loved them all dearly.  She was a homemaker and cared for her daughters and brother at home with all her heart and strength.  She was born in Mingo County, WV the daughter of a coal miner on June 2, 1944.  She later moved to Mason County where she met her husband of 23 years, Hugh J. Forth.  Anyone who knew Georgie knew that she loved her family with all of her heart and she took pride in her children and their accomplishments.  She also had two special friends that she loved deeply, Arizona her dog, and Toby her cat.  Special thanks to Dr. Klinestiver, Sheila, Sylvia, and Christie for all their support, Dr. Kimmey, her oncologist and Dr. Napol.  Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center who helped during this painful time.  The family would also like to thank Bud Chapman for caring for Margaret and George, Georgie’s daughter and brother, during her stay in the hospital.  She was a wonderful mother and she will be sadly missed by all, but we take comfort in knowing that she has no more pain and she is in Heaven with our Lord.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Ted Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in Barton Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from noon until time of the service.
