Frances L. Quentrill, 84, of Culloden, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM , Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Mark Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Milton. She was born August 16, 1926 in Glenwood, WV, a daughter of the late Gillie and Edith Taylor Scarberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Bernard Quentrill; daughter, Brenda Carter; two sisters, three brothers, and two grandchildren. She had worked at the Children’s Hospital in Milton and the Southern Hills Hospital in South Charleston as a nurse’s aide in her younger years. She was a member of Peaceful Valley Freewill Baptist Church, Culloden. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Davis and her husband, Chester of Milton; four sons, Ronnie P. Quentrill, Danny R. Quentrill, and Michael B. Quentrill all of Culloden, and Steve Wayne Quentrill and his wife, Sylvia of Conover, NC; sister Nora (Leonard) McVeigh of Coshocton, OH; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
