Hersel Francis Holley
(May 13, 1936 - July 23, 2014)



Hersel Francis Holley, 78, of Milton passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Jeff Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Holley Family Cemetery, Newman’s Branch. Mr. Holley was born May 13, 1936 in Putnam County, WV, a son of the late Early Francis and Nanny Whitt Holley. He was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Madeline Holley. Hersel retired from International Nickel; of Huntington and was a member of Milton Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Bessie Hatfield Holley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Debbie Holley and Stephen and Becky Holley; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marion and Rick Dailey, Susie and Dennis King and Kelly Holley; six grandchildren, Jason (Mel) Dailey, Leah (George) Cart, Joshua (Sara) Dailey, Matthew Holley, Rebecca (Dr. Jason) Mader and Stephen Hersel Holley; eight great grandchildren, Joshua, Grayson, Lilly, Emma, Grace, Jonah, Olivia and Benjamin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Joyce Holley, Marvin and Linda Holley and David and Betty Holley; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Bill Blackshire and Judy and Tom Houck. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 25 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
