ALVA EDWARD JOHNSTON
Alva Edward Johnston, Jr., 49 of Huntington, WV, passed away, Thursday, July 19, 2013 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. He was born June 9, 1964 in Orange Park, FL, the son of Alva Edward Johnston, Sr. of Huntington, WV and the late, Marie Woods Johnston. He was the former owner of Johnston Heating and Air Conditioning Company. In addition to his mother, he was proceeded in death by one brother, Edward William Johnston. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Rhonda Elaine Nottingham Johnston of Huntington, WV; two daughters, Amy Johnston Coffee and Kimberly Johnston (Chad Worden) all of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Diana Farley and Jackie Johnston both of AZ; three grandchildren, Hannah Patrick, Sarah and Bethany Worden all of Huntington; step-mother, Carol Johnston of Huntington, WV and a former son-in-law, Joshua Coffee of Kenova, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Friends may call from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
