BLANCHE LUCILLE HITE
(April 20, 1924 - January 24, 2014)

Blanche Lucille Hite, 89 of Huntington, WV, passed away, Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born April 20, 1924 in Moorhead, KY and was raised by her loving aunt, Blanche Scott whom she loved and admired. She was the daughter of the late Eric and Doris Gray O’Brian. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Neace and two brothers, Jimmy, Carl O’Brian. She was a graduate of Huntington High School, attended Marshall College, and was a very successful Real Estate Agent, Broker and former owner of Galaxy Reality Company. She was also an active supporter of Alpha Ze Delta Sorority as the Membership Chairman. Blanche and Paul retired to Seabrook, Island, SC where they enjoyed 30 years of playing golf and simply enjoying and living life to the fullest. Blanche is survived by her loving husband, Paul Hite of Huntington, WV; one daughter, Margaret Lynne Breaux of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Scott Straub of Huntington, WV and Shelley Shell both of Huntington, WV; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Joey Shell, Jacob and Trey Straub of Huntington, WV; nieces and nephews, Chet and Dickey Neace, Mike and Henriella Perry, Bill and JoAnn Chambers all of Huntington, WV and Russ and Linda Houck of Barboursville, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with brother-in-law, Rev. Ray Hite of Banning, CA. officiating. Entombment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Blanche’s honor to Hospice of Huntington 1101 6th Ave. Huntington, WV 25701.
