Obituary

ANNA MAE ATKINS
(January 16, 1928 - July 18, 2014)



Anna Mae Atkins, 86, our angel on earth, passed to a new life on July 18, 2014. She is joined in heaven by her husband Virgil O. Atkins and brothers and sisters preceding her. Left to celebrate her life, are her loving children, Jim and Drema Atkins, Virgil and Judy Atkins, Loanna and Carl Fox, Vivian and Clyde Smith and one brother, Charlie Smith. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Kimberly (Robert) Bacon, John (Angie) Smith, Stephen (Melissa Quinn) Fox, Jason (Brook) Fox, David (Angie) Fox, Dale (Amy) Fox, Lisa (Mike) Oberdick, Christie (Wylie) Jeffrey, Jimette Starbird, and Chris (Stacy) Atkins. Great grandchildren include Jonathan, Ryan, Gabe, Keeli, Kamryn, Nathan, Brittany, Zach, Sydney, CJ, Michael, Zachary, Adam, Madison, Kaitlyn, Jared and great-great grandchild Kenidy. She will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. She was the ultimate example of a Godly woman and an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend who always put others before herself. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with Pastor Carl Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
