IRENE MAHALA SPICER
(May 07, 1925 - November 03, 2014)



Irene Mahala “Beanie” Spicer, 89 of Huntington, WV, passed away on November 3, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va.  She was born on May 7, 1925 in Parkersburg, WV to the late J.G. Spicer and Mahala Moore Spicer.  She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Fred Myers and her great niece Rebecca Black.  She is survived by her sister Dorothy Myers of Huntington, her nephew Charles Myers and his wife Carolyn of Richmond, VA, her niece Linda Williams of Huntington and her niece Vicki Black and her husband Don of Huntington. Her great nieces and nephews include Katherine Jacoby and her husband Darin of Louisville, KY, C. W. Black of Columbus, OH, Beverly Sanford and her husband Kevin, Andrea Evans and her husband Paul, and Christi Conner and her husband Eddie, all of Richmond, VA. She also has ten great great nieces and nephews including Camron Black of Huntington, Lauren Sanford, Cameron Duke, Benjamin Evans, Taylor Evans, Natalie Evans, Heather Conner, Sheridan Conner, and Nicholas Conner, all of Richmond, VA, and special family friend Mike Williams of Marion, OH.  Beanie lovingly helped raise three generations of children and left her mark indelibly upon us all.  She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Graveside service will be conducted at Woodmere Memorial Park at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 with Rev. Bob Withers officiating. Burial will follow the services. The family will receive friends from 1:15 PM until 2:15 PM on Saturday at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va.
