Beatrice McChesney Waldron
(December 24, 1924 - October 1, 2016)

Beatrice McChesney Waldron, 91, of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born in Marshall, NC, December 24, 1924, the daughter of Jesse Wise and Lillie Mae Tomblin. Bea lived an extraordinary life. An educator and life-long teacher, she loved inspiring her “little ones” to live full, purpose-filled lives. Her faith carried her through tragedies and celebrations and lifted all of those around. She is survived by her sister Betty McIntyre, sons and daughters-in-law, John McChesney and Karen, and Thomas McChesney and Stacy and her step-children, Robert Waldron and Marijane, Anne Fugate and Don, and Mary Schubert-Vance and Robert. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Caroline Schubert, Catherine Waldron, and Richard Rodriguez. She was received by her Savior and greeted in heaven by her parents, loving husbands John Martin McChesney, Sr. and Earl Waldron; sister, Lucy Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law Sam and Clara Tomblin, and Jess and Ruby Tomblin; and brother- and sister-in-law, David and Lynn McChesney. Her family would like to offer a heart-felt thanks to Mary Napier, Raymonda Elkins, and Sherry Roberts for the devoted, loving care they provided in her final years. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, 103 Jefferson Park Drive, Huntington, WV 25705 with Pastor Scott Hoppe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends honor her life-long passions by making donations in her memory to the Early Childhood Education Fund at the Marshall University Foundation or Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. is caring for the family.
