Charlotte Frances Steele
(August 5, 1926 - September 25, 2016)



Charlotte Frances Green Steele, 90, of  Milton, W.Va. passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Midland Meadows Assisted Living, Ona, W.Va. She was born August 5, 1926 in Huntington, W.Va. the daughter of the late, Elmer M. and Clarice Harshbarger Green.  She was a graduate of Huntington East High School, retired from Columbia Gas Company, Credit Department, member of the Barboursville Woman’s Club, member of Barboursville First United Methodist Church where she also participated in the United Methodist Women. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with Rev. Bill Blankenship and Rev. Kerry Bart officiating. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leland S. Steele, Jr. and one sister, Helen Dille. She is survived by her son, Leland S. Steele, III. (Kimberly) of Milton, W.Va; her grandchildren, Leland Andrew Steele (Ashley) of Ona, W.Va. and Andrea Steele of Milton, W.Va; two nephews, John Dille (Anne) of Mechanicsburg, PA. and Greg Showalter (Jan) of Huntington, W.Va; two nieces, Janet Repp (Charles) of Ann Arbor, MI and Judith McJunkin (Brittain) of Charleston, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. Special thanks to the staff of Midland Meadows Assisted Living for their care  and to Hospice of Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or the Barboursville First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
