Phillip Wayne Hickey, 49 of Lavalette, WV, ended his tour of duty on Thursday, February 1, 2018. He was born November 5, 1968 the son of John and Hope Shank Hickey. His ‘motto’ was to care for the elderly, the environment, and animals. He loved his job as a Animal Control Officer with the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Control and was a member of Christ Temple Church. His actions truly displayed his words. He leaves behind the most beautiful loving family, his wife, Alisha Sullivan Hickey, she and Phillip were married while still in their teens and they have two children, Haven Hickey and Stone Hickey all of Lavalette, WV; two brothers, Paul Hickey of KY. and David Hickey of NC. and host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Christ Temple Church, 2400 Johnstown Rd. Huntington, WV with Pastor Dwight Mays and Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. The Hickey family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Thursday at the church.
